TRAIL DESCRIPTION: This walk is a wilderness scenic trail starting at the Visitor Center through old growth forest, cedar groves, meadows, and along one of America's most beautiful lakes. Water and restrooms are available at the Visitor Center and Beaver Bay (when open). Weather conditions determine the experience and could change the trail rating.
DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: Farragut State Park is located midway between Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint in Athol, Idaho. At the traffic light in Athol, turn east on Idaho 54 and travel 4 miles to park entrance and proceed to Visitor Center to register and pay day use fee (required for each vehicle). Check with HQ for park hours before June 1 and after September 1.
